Most of us, at one time or another, have had a “someday” fantasy.
When I get a raise, I’ll pay off my debt and be free.
When I lose that last 10 pounds I’ll start dating and meet the love of my life.
When I get a new job, I’ll have more time, more money and more happiness.
When I get that new bike, I’ll make exercise a priority and get in shape.
I could go on….and each of them basically boils down to “Someday, when I have/do _______, I’ll be happy.
Here’s the thing: Nothing outside of you is going to make you happy. No external circumstance is going to be the magic wand that “cures” you and makes life better. If you want your life to be different, you’re going to have to get up off of the couch and do something about it. There is no magical solution, and the time is now.
So don’t wait until you lose those last few pounds or get in shape or get that new job.
What is it that you want?
To be happier?
To be healthier?
To have more time?
What steps can you take today, to move a bit closer to whatever it is?
Go on. Get moving.
The time is now.
