I can’t run.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been told this – by young and old people alike.
I agree that not everyone may not be able to physically run.
There are a few cases, where the body is simply not meant to run (anymore).
However most of the people that tell me this aren’t in that category.
Theirs is more of an “I don’t want to”.
Or an “it makes my ______  (knees, back, feet, etc.) hurt”.
Or “I don’t like it”.
And that’s fine, but don’t tell me that you can’t run.
Because then I begin to wonder, what else can’t you do?
What else do you give up so easily on?
