Holding tension is wasted energy in the body.
It restricts movement, making the body less efficient – not to mention not feel so good.
Clench your fists tight right now.
Clench your fists so tight, that you feel it in your biceps and shoulders.
Feel that tension?
You wouldn’t walk around all day like that, correct? Likely, no.
However, all of us carry tension some where in our bodies.
A lot of the time we don’t even notice it – until it turns into something bigger.
Tension ignored can turn into deeper pain.
Seek it out.
Where does it live?
Do you notice that your shoulders creep toward your ears as you sit at your computer?
Does your jaw tense when you’re concentrating?
Do you clench your toes or flex your ankles?
Seek out your tension.
Take a deep breath and release it.
Stretch. Wiggle. Shake it loose.
Consciously relax.
Allow your tension to move through you.
Move more, not less.
